tex files not processed by jinja

{ ".tex|jinja": {} } simply doesn't work -- the .tex file is dropped into ./output without ever actually being modified by Jinja.
Trivial example attached.

The comment formatting system ate my asterisk. It's star-dot-tex each time you see just ".tex".
Note that if you pipe the tex file through the ct filter before piping it into jinja, the file is modified -- but it's then got a .txt suffix, and there isn't a cl filter that ships with Dexy to fix the file suffix.
