tempdir filter doesn't re-use existing virtual files

The filename filter will recognize when a virtual file has been defined already (such as when we want to apply more filters to an additional file).
This functionality should be moved into add_additional_artifact or elsewhere in the artifact class so it can be re-used, and the tempdir ksh filter should make use of this.
